Hi, I'm
Jake Huebner
Computer Science student.
Builder, engineer, problem solver.
I'm a CS major at the University of Colorado Boulder with a minor in business, graduating summer 2026. I like building things end-to-end, from the data layer up, and I love the places where software and machine learning meet good engineering.
Currently focused on machine learning coursework and side projects spanning pose estimation, game-playing AI, and real-time simulation.

Things I've built
Click any project for the full write-up: the story, the results, and a link to the code. More land here as I finish them.
Running Form Analyzer
Pose-estimation pipeline that engineers biomechanical features from running video and classifies form faults like overstriding and heel striking.
OmniFlow: City Traffic Simulator
Real-time 2D traffic simulator modeling cars, buses, emergency vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians through a shared polymorphic agent interface.
Mancala AI Agent
Mancala-playing AI in Python: minimax with alpha-beta pruning, a custom heuristic, and a 99% win rate at depth 5.
More on the way
Additional projects will land here as I finish them.
Outside of code
When I'm away from a keyboard, I'm usually out on a run. I'm a marathon runner, and a few too many overuse injuries taught me more about biomechanics than I ever wanted to know. That's exactly what led me to build my Running Form Analyzer. Distance running and writing software reward the same thing: showing up for the boring, consistent reps.
I also sing. I spent four years in CU Boulder's auditioned University Choir, which put me on stage at Carnegie Hall twice and at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Performing has made me a lot more comfortable doing hard things in front of a crowd.
Most of all, I love working with people. I was elected President of my service fraternity, AGO, after a few years in its leadership, and I help lead a youth ministry for high schoolers at my church. My faith and the people around me are a big part of who I am, and learning to lead volunteers has shaped how I show up on a team as much as any class has.
